Need to talk? Friendly, practical counselling for individuals and couples in Gloucester city centre

Tough times? Need someone to talk to?

Life can be tough, and we all need help from time to time. You can’t deal with everything alone, and there’s no shame in admitting you need someone to talk to.

Whether you’re feeling low, anxious or just stressed out, no matter how deep you feel you’ve sunk, there’s always a way back up. Counselling can be that lifeline.

Counselling can help you understand and tackle the issues that affect your day-to-day life. Whatever you’re dealing with – from jealousy to bereavement, anxiety to infidelity – therapy helps you develop the knowledge and resilience you need to get back on track

Let’s talk

I’m Sue Christy, an experienced professional counsellor based in central Gloucester. No matter what you’re going through, I’ll help you find a positive outcome and face life’s challenges with confidence.

Clients like my common sense, empathetic approach. I provide a safe space and a confidential environment in which you can work through your feelings and concerns without being bombarded by psychobabble.

Most people find one to six 50-minute counselling sessions make a real difference, but I’m happy to provide longer term counselling if you need it. We’ll work at your pace, and I’ll never push you unless you want me to.

You don’t need a referral to work with me, but it might reassure you to know that many Gloucestershire GPs recommend me for my professionalism, experience, ethics, and the results I get. I’m also an external staff counsellor for Gloucestershire County Council and Care First, and an affiliate counsellor for Health Assured, Healthcare RM and AXA PPP.

Because of my long-term experience and wide-ranging skills, I also support trainee counsellors and those in the early stages of their career with training, mentoring and supervision.
