About You

Common reasons why people seek counselling are on this page. However, many people seek help when they are feeling ‘lost’ or ‘out of sorts’ and may not have an obvious reason for their distress.

Sue can help you make sense of your feelings and gain a new sense of perspective, no matter what the problem is.
Stress, Bereavment, Loss, Attacks, Bullying, Alcohol, Drugs, Panic, Issues, Abuse, Lost, Out of Sorts, Self Esteem

There is no such thing as a 'typical' client for counselling, just as there is no such thing as a 'typical' person! Sue works with wide range of issues with men, women and young people from many different backgrounds and life experiences.

Sue is often asked 'how long will it take before I feel better' by her clients, and responds that for some people as little as one to six sessions with a counsellor can help to make a real difference. For others a longer term approach may be more appropriate, but Sue stresses that it is her clients who choose when to end the counselling process. Professional counselling is about meeting the needs and objectives of the client and not those of the counsellor!
